Porto, Portugal Zen: May 13-19, 2027

 

Into the Wild Porto is going to be a real vacation for you. there is a reason why Portugal is skyrocketing into a top European destination- come and see why. you’ll visit the lovely city of porto and the gorgeous, slower paced Douro Valley on this incredible trip.

On this 7-day Into the Wild journey, we’ll experience the best of northern Portugal, combining the vibrant city of Porto with the vineyard-covered landscapes of the Douro Valley. We’ll wander historic streets lined with colorful buildings, cruise along one of Europe’s most beautiful rivers, sip wine at family-owned estates, and spend our evenings enjoying incredible food and long conversations overlooking the water.

This trip is designed for women who want a balance of exploration and relaxation. You’ll experience the culture, history, and scenery that make Portugal so special while still having plenty of time to slow down and enjoy it all. From riverside cafes and scenic train rides to vineyard stays and unforgettable sunsets, this is the kind of trip that reminds you why travel is so rewarding.

From May 13-19, 2027, we’ll explore the very best of Northern Portugal together. This trip is categorized as a Zen trip- meaning that you can slow down, relax and opt in or out of as many activities you’d like. You don’t need to be a wine drinker to enjoy all of the history and sights of this trip!

This trip is $2699 for 6 nights.

All lodging, food, and transportation during the retreat is included, and on this trip, you can choose to pay an extra $800 for your own room, or take on a new friend as a roomie (or bring your own!). You just need to get yourself to Porto, Portugal and back home again!

When:

May 13-19th, 2027. You DO NOT want to miss this. You will fly in and out of Porto, Portugal. Please arrive around 1pm to avoid having to drop bags at hotel and self-explore, and please leave in the morning of May 19th to avoid the same :)

For this specific Into the Wild Adventure, you can add your own single room for $800. Otherwise, there will be two women per room, each with their own beds.

Porto/Douro Valley itinerary! (subject to changes due to weather or closures)

May 13th: Arrive in Porto and transfer to your hotel in the historic center. (Ideally, arrive after 1 pm to avoid having to drop your bags and self-entertain). All transfers are provided by Into the Wild.  After some time to settle in, gather at 6:30 for a welcome dinner overlooking the Douro River. Spend the evening wandering the colorful Ribeira district and taking in the atmosphere of one of Europe’s most charming cities. You’ll spend 2 nights here in Porto.

May 14th: Breakfast, and then we will spend the day exploring Porto’s historic neighborhoods. Highlights will include the São Bento Train Station, Livraria Lello, Clérigos Tower, Ribeira waterfront, and Port wine cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia. In the afternoon, we will enjoy a guided food tour featuring Portuguese specialties and local wines. If we are still hungry after that, we will grab dinner too! There’s no such thing as too much food when in Portugal :)

May 15th: Breakfast, then we will pack up and leave our hotel in Porto to board one of Europe’s most scenic rail journeys into the Douro Valley. We will travel through vineyard-covered hillsides and river landscapes before arriving in wine country. Today we will enjoy a vineyard visit, a traditional Portuguese lunch, and some exploration of adorable, colorful riverfront villages. Tonight we will have a group dinner and relax at our vineyard estate hotel overlooking the valley where we will stay 2 nights.

May 16th: Breakfast, and then we will explore the valley from the water on a private boat cruise on the Douro River. There will be stops for scenic viewpoints, olive oil tasting, etc. A really delightful day! In the afternoon there will be some free time and you can enjoy the property, pool and spa. Plus, enjoy another delightful group dinner.

May 17th: Breakfast, and then we will explore some of the smaller villages that make the region special, such as Pinhão, Provesende, Lamego or Peso da Régua. Today is a relaxed day, while exploring you will visit some local markets and countryside scenery- today is really a soak in the delightful culture of Portugal. Dinner, rest.

May 18th: After a slow morning and delicious breakfast, we will return at around 11 am to Porto with stops along the coast. We will see the Aveiro canals, the Costa Nova striped houses, and beaches along the Atlantic. We will check into our hotel and have free time for you to do your last items on your checklist. Our final evening dinner will be a Fado performance and dinner- incredible!

May 19th: Breakfast, and head home. It’s ideal if your flights leave before 12pm. Transports back to the airport are provided by Into the Wild.

 


 
 

Women often learn better through experiences with other inspiring women. This trip is only for women and will be filled with warm, open, inviting leaders and attendees, who are all ready and waiting for a creative, immersive, life-changing experience.

Into The Wild is requiring its trip attendees to provide proof of travel insurance purchase for this trip.
