peru Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu: april 26-May 2, 2026
Into the Wild is a chance to take a moment for you. To dive deep into your wild woman self. To rediscover the wonder and beauty of both earth’s nature and YOUR nature.
Come on a once in a lifetime experience in Peru. On this trip, unlike our other Peru trips, there is no hiking necessary! We will take a few days to explore Cusco, Ollantytambo, and Aguas Callienties- and our final destination that’s on everyone’s bucket list is: Machu Picchu. Rich in history, Machu Picchu is one of the most vividly colorful, sacred and culturally wonderful places on earth.
On this trip you’ll get a wonderful education about Peruvian and Incan culture, feast on some incredible Peruvian food, experience an optional day trip to Rainbow Mountain, enjoy Incan sites like Pisaq, Moray, and Ollantaytambo, (and more!) and make new lifelong friends. This retreat is designed to help you rediscover you without having to endure long treks. Just the best of the best.
This retreat is for you, and women like you. Come as you are and leave as your best self. This trip is capped at 14 attendees.
Below is the information on what you come away with from this trip.
Cost for Peru- Sacred Valley is $2850 per person for 6 nights. All lodging, food, tickets to Machu Picchu, and transportation during the retreat is included, and ALL rooms are shared occupancy. Itinerary for the Trip:
April 26: Arrival in Cusco. You can arrive anytime today, but the hotel check-in isn’t until 2pm so you’ll need to self-explore or rest in the lobby. All arrivals and transport from the Cusco airport to the hotel today will be courtesy of Into the Wild. At 6:30pm we will have our first incredible meal in Cusco together, then we’ll fall into bed and rest for the coming week.
April 27: Today we will have a Cusco walking tour, followed by lunch. There will be a little free time, and then we can enjoy a hands on cooking lesson for dinner! If we are still hungry afterwards, we can get more delicious bites to eat in town.
April 28: Today we are taking a day trip to the ever-famous Rainbow mountain. This trip takes about 12 hours round trip but is totally worth it- you don’t even need to hike Rainbow Mountain, you can ride a horse and enjoy the views with minimal effort :) The day includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you’d like to skip this day trip, you are welcome to- but your itinerary is up to you!
April 29: Today after breakfast, we will transfer over to Ollantaytambo (a very adorable city with important historical Incan sites!) with stops along the way in the Sacred Valley. You’ll visit Pisaq, an alpaca farm, and Incan Site right in the city, and more. We will then head for dinner and check into a new hotel for one night.
April 30: Today after breakfast we will have a little free time to explore Ollantaytambo on your own or in small groups until we board the Vista Dome train to Aguas Calientes, the town waaaay below Aguas Calientes! This is a super cool town and upon arrival, we will check into the hotel, grab some lunch, and hit the Hot Springs. Afterwards you’ll have free time to grab a cheap but great massage or shop on your own. We will meet at 6:30 for dinner at a really delicious fun restaurant.
May 1: Today is the day! We will wake very early for breakfast and head out to Machu Picchu to explore this ancient city before it gets too hot. You’ll have a guide to explain everything to you and we guarantee it’s all absolutely mesmerizing. You’ll spend about 3 hours at Machu Picchu on a timed circuit (everyone who visits there is on a timed circuit, one of four circuits.) After Machu Picchu, you’ll head down to Aguas Calientes for lunch, then board the train back to Ollantytambo, and then we will drive back to Cusco for our last night together. Dinner tonight will be either in small groups (ITW will pay for it) or those who want to get take in are welcome to.
May 2: The retreat is over! You can depart anytime today with the understanding that checkout from the hotel is at 10 am- but you can leave your luggage while you get in some last explorations of Cusco.
Have you ever been to a place so different from your own home country in sights, smells, sounds, textures… you could hardly wrap your mind around it?
We can show you one of the 7 Wonders of the World in a trip that will absolutely change your life!
A reminder: your expenses are all included, except your flights to and from Peru from your home. We cover lodging, activities, food, transport, etc!

Generally this costs an extra $100usd, and can save your bacon when traveling and things go wrong. Please email wendy@itwadventure.com if you have any questions about getting travel insurance.
On this trip you’ll be staying in nice hotels, eating delicious food, and traveling by van, foot and train. You will spend 4 total nights in Cusco, 1 night in Ollantaytambo, and 1 night in Aguas Calientes.
There are no refunds to this retreat period- due to the nature of retreat planning. However, you are more than welcome to sell your ticket to another woman, since this is bound to sell out. Re-selling tickets is highly successful when I help you to do so.
