Norway hiking trip: July 22-30, 2026
Into the Wild is a chance to take a moment for you. To dive deep into your wild woman self. To rediscover the wonder and beauty of both earth’s nature and YOUR nature. To experience Norway’s gorgeousness with other women.
Come unite in one of the most gorgeous and mountainous wild places on earth: NORWAY. Experience the intensely remote canyons, fjords, waterfalls and glaciers, together, with women across the globe! This retreat is SPECIFICALLY A HIKING RETREAT, designed to help you rediscover you through hiking, adventures and bonding.
If you’re a woman into hiking- this trip is for you. Join me, WENDY! The owner of Into the Wild on one of my favorite trips of ALL TIME!
Do you have an interest in day hiking and summiting? Kayaking? Cool weather? Self-rediscovery? Self-empowerment? Bringing out your inner wild woman? Doing all this while sleeping in a real cozy bed at night instead of camping in a tent? If so… This trip is for you, and women like you. Come as you are and leave as your best self.
Below is the information on what you come away with from this retreat.
Cost for Norway is $3600 per person for 8 nights. All lodging, food, and transportation during the retreat is included, and ALL rooms are shared occupancy. You just need to get yourself to the Bergen, Norway (BGO) airport and back. BGO airport transfers will also be provided by Into the Wild if you arrive the day the trip starts and leave the day the trip ends.
Note: this retreat operates a little differently on the front end: You will need to arrive into Bergen on the 20th- but it’s likely that you will need to leave your home on the 19th or possibly earlier, transfer through Oslo, and then land in Bergen. This retreat starts ON the 20th, but be aware you’ll need to leave on whatever date before that from the United States or your country of origin to get there on time. Before purchasing tickets, be sure to run your options by Wendy at Wendy @ itwadventure.com. Additionally, this retreat ends on the 30th of July with breakfast and a drop off at BGO. I’ll support any departure time the morning of the 30th.

THIS IS THE PLANNED ITINERARY (weather permitting):
July 22nd: Meet up in Bergen. Best time to arrive is after noon. We will hang out, eat, and wait for everyone to arrive as well as check into our hotel and do some relaxing and wandering around town. Opening dinner will be at 6:30pm.
July 23rd: Today after breakfast we will travel from Bergen to Flam and the Næroyfjord National Park. It’s a less than 3 hour drive. Upon arrival, we will eat lunch and check out the little adorable villages, and finally we will hike to Prest. The hike is 4 miles on an out and back trail, and we’ll gain 2,000 feet elevation for our first stunning views of Norwegian Fjords. The hike is steep at times but worth it! If we finish the hike on time we can watch Sunset at Stegastein viewpoint. We will stay in Flam for the night.
July 24th: Today after breakfast we will head out on a long day hike. There is no better spot to admire Næroyfjord than from the summit of Bakkanosi. This hike takes 6-8 hours, is stunning, and it’s about 11 miles. Total ascent is 3,084 feet. In the evening after the hike, we will relax at our hotel, dine, and have a wonderful time together.
July 25th: Today is a rest day, and we will drive to Jotunheimen along the Valdresflye Scenic Route. It’s only about 2.5 hours but there are lots of wonderful stops along the way to turn this into a terrific road trip adventure. We will check into our hotel and have another fun group dinner. There is plenty to explore around the hotel, all of it is gorgeous!
July 26th: After our rest day, we’ll be ready for a new epic hike with tons of views of Jotunheimen National Park. Our hike today is the Besseggen trail and it starts with a bus ride and then a scenic boat ride to the trailhead. The hike is 9.6 miles, 3,000 feet elevation gain, and point-to-point. We will skip this hike if it’s a rainy day as there is one small section of scrambling on a cliff side. I think we’d all be perfectly safe, but as a retreat leader I don’t mess with rain and cliffside scrambles :). We’ll have a wonderful dinner and rest after this hike!
July 27th: Today is another road trip day full of awesome stops. Our goal is to drive to Geiranger Fjord which is 3.5 hours. The route is famous for its scenic views and a little historic village. When we arrive, we (weather permitting) will do a small kayak trip on the fjord! We’ll check into our hotel afterward, attempt to watch a glorious sunset at Ørnesvingen viewpoint, and have dinner.
July 28th: After breakfast we will head out for our last hike. This one is relatively short and is walkable from the hotel. You may see llamas and sheep galore! After the hike we will check out of the hotel and drive halfway back to Bergen, doing another short but steep hike that afternoon that overlooks an amazing fjord from the most quaint little mountain cottage haven you’ve ever imagined. Dinner, relax.
July 29th: Road trip the last half of the way back to Bergen! We’ll stop for lunch on the way, and check into the hotel followed by free time. Closing dinner will be at 6:30pm.
July 30th: Breakfast and transport are provided back to the airport before 10 am!
