overview:
This trip to Nepal will likely be the first to the area for many of you, and what a treat you are in for! This Into the Wild trip is run by Taryn Langlois, and Taryn and the local guides will have all the details laid out and ready for you- all you have to do is follow their lead and enjoy the experience of hiking miles and miles through absolutely stunning scenery while interacting and supporting the local communities.
pricing:
This hiking trip is priced at $2699. You may pay in one or two installments. This price will include the first night’s hotel stay in Kathmandu, Nepal, 7 nights in teahouses or mountain lodges (separate beds for everyone), all breakfasts, lunches and dinners, tickets to trailheads, and the last night’s stay again in Kathmandu. You will pay for anything else including extra alcoholic drinks, snacks, and souvenirs. You’ll also need to get travel insurance which isn’t too expensive, but it is required and proof must be provided. You’ll also be required to sign a liability waiver.
when:
November 9-18, 2026. You must book your flight to arrive on November 9th to Kathmandu Airport (anytime that day is fine, but before 2pm you’ll need to chill at the hotel or self-entertain) to avoid problems with delays, etc. The transfer to the beginning of the Langtang trail will be on November 10th, (a six hour drive) and we will begin our trek the next day.
This trek immerses you in authentic Tamang and Tibetan-inspired culture. You’ll pass through traditional mountain villages where prayer flags flutter and monks chant in small monasteries. Local families welcome you with smiles, serving flavorful home-cooked meals – the hearty dal bhat and local yak cheese are must-tries! By trekking here, you also support a community that is rebuilding and thriving after the devastation of the 2015 earthquake.
Evenings on the Langtang trail are delightfully simple and cozy. You’ll sleep in rustic, wood-built teahouses with warm dining halls centered around a roaring stove. At night you sit with fellow trekkers and hosts, sharing stories over hot tea and homemade meals. The rooms are basic – wooden beds with thick blankets – but they’re clean and comfortable. A hot bucket shower and a steaming cup of herbal tea will revive you after a long day, and the genuine hospitality everywhere makes each night memorable.

We aim for friendships to be formed with other wild women- it’s one of the top features of Into the Wild retreats, as stated by women who’ve participated in the past. ALL rooms are SHARED rooms. Again, with the nature of the tea houses/lodges/hotels- all rooms are shared occupancy. We know- this sounds scary. But it always turns out to be the best!
A reminder: your expenses are all paid, except your flights to and from Nepal from your home, extra alcohol, extra snacks and any souvenirs. We cover lodging, activities, food, transport, etc!
Women often learn better through experiences with other inspiring women. This female only trip will be filled with warm, open, inviting leaders and attendees, who are all ready and waiting for a creative, immersive, life-changing experience.
