GREECE YOGA EDITION ITINERARY
May 3rd: Arrive in Santorini, or for those who want a couple of additional days in Santorini- gather. You can arrive in Santorini any time today, but do realize that hotel check in is not until 2pm, so you can hang in the lobby or drop your luggage to explore until 2. Dinner is at 6:30, -you can arrive after dinner but of course you’ll miss it. If that’s fine with you, it’s fine with us! Our only activities today are checking into the hotel, a 30 minute yoga session to stretch our tired travel bodies, and dinner at 6:30pm. You can self explore the famous Santorini areas of Fira and Oia if you arrive early! Dinner will be in Oia.
May 4th: Breakfast, then explore the little town of Ammoudi. Have an early lunch before heading to the ferry for our 1 hour 15 minute ferry ride to Amorous Island. Upon arrival, we will check in, lay our things down and have free time before an evening yoga session just before sunset. After yoga is dinner and some free time to explore the property or rest.
May 5th: 30 minute yoga class, then breakfast. Today we are going to do a guided, easy to moderate hike and will visit a typical Amorgos Island home. We will have lunch while out and about, returning to our yoga haven in the afternoon. Free time, and then a wonderful yoga class. Dinner, chill.
May 6th: Yoga class, breakfast, and then a full day trip around this island. You’ll visit the stunning monastery of Hozoviotissa and be warmly welcomed by the monks there. Then, a stop at Agios Georgios Valsamitis, a church that used to be one of the well-known oracles of ancient Greece. Then you’ll head to the south of the island, to discover the well-preserved ancient Agia Triada Tower, a Unesco site. Lastly, you’ll stroll through the charming village of Chora and explore the alleys of the old venetian village, visit windmills, and check out the Castle. You’ll have lunch while out, and return to the resort for dinner and a wind-down yoga session before bed.
May 7th: Yoga class, then an optional trip to another beach for relaxation, then to a quaint little town for lunch. Free time, and then an amazing sunset catamaran experience!
May 8th: Yoga class, then breakfast. Today we have the option to spend the morning on a local beach, enjoying the greek sun with drinks of any kind in hand. In the afternoon, we’ll enjoy a cooking class and wine tasting, and enjoy the food we make! In the evening there is dinner at the resort if we are still hungry, and we will have a lovely short wind-down yoga session before bed.
May 9th: enjoy our last breakfast and last yoga session at our hotel and have a leisurely morning. Leave for the ferry dock at 12:15pm and ferry back to Santorini. You can choose to extend your Greek or European vacation from here if you desire- but you’ll need to figure out the logistics of that as the retreat is officially over when the ferry lands in Santorini!
If you book a flight home on the 9th, it needs to be after 5pm for safety of not missing your flight.
Refund policy: Your ticket can be sold but not refunded. You can advertise to sell your ticket yourself, and we will post it on our instagram as well, should you not be able to attend.
All rooms are shared occupancy. No private rooms are available. This is key to the Into the Wild experience.
Into The Wild is now requiring its trip attendees to provide proof of travel insurance purchase for this trip. Generally this costs an extra $100usd, and can save your bacon when traveling and things go wrong. Please email wendy@itwadventure.com if you have any questions about getting travel insurance.
Meet your Leader and yoga instructor:
Donica Macintosh calls Halifax, Nova Scotia, home, but she’ll always be a Cape Breton girl at heart — a fisherman’s daughter raised by the sea. She’s the kind of person who finds magic in stillness, meaning in movement, and wonder in wandering.
Her journey into yoga began back in 2017 and took an unexpected turn when she found herself stepping into the role of teacher — something she never planned, but now can’t imagine her life without. Yoga became her anchor, offering space for reflection, connection, and growth.
A deep desire to travel had been quietly simmering for years, but it was her first Into The Wild trip that gave it permission to come alive. Since then, she’s been chasing summits, swimming in cold oceans, and connecting deeply — with nature, with others, and with herself.
Thoughtful and grounded, Donica brings a quiet strength to every adventure. She’s here to move, explore, reflect, and remind you that you don’t have to be fearless to be brave.
