This January, trade winter heaviness for warm air, ocean mornings, and days that feel both invigorating and unrushed. Nosara, Costa Rica, is the kind of place that makes it easy to reset without trying too hard. Life moves at a human pace here. You’ll spend your days in a beautiful coastal town known for its protected beaches, wildlife, and excellent food, experiencing Costa Rica in a way that just can’t be beat. This trip is designed to give you a true break from routine while offering just enough structure to make every day feel intentional, fun, and unique!
Over seven days, you’ll balance adventure and ease in a way that feels natural rather than forced. Expect time on the water, a guided jungle and waterfall experience, a coastal boat excursion, and plenty of space in between to rest on the beach, enjoy long meals, get a massage, and connect with a small group of women who are also ready for something different. You don’t need to be a hardcore traveler or an adrenaline seeker to enjoy this retreat. You just need to be open to good company, new experiences, and the idea that a week away can be both energizing and deeply satisfying. You’ll return home rested, engaged, and reminded of how good it feels to step fully into a place that asks very little and gives a lot.
Nosara is a relaxed coastal town that manages to feel well cared for without being overdeveloped. Set along a protected stretch of beach, it’s known for consistent surf, abundant wildlife, and a strong sense of local stewardship. The town is small, walkable in parts, and refreshingly low-key, with unpaved roads, open-air cafés, and an emphasis on good food rather than flashy nightlife. Nosara’s appeal is simple and enduring: warm ocean mornings, quiet jungle edges, excellent meals, and a pace that encourages you to slow down without ever feeling bored.

Below is the information on what you come away with from this trip.
Cost for Costa Rica is $2699 for 6 nights. All lodging, food, and transportation during the retreat is included except snacks and souvenirs and alcohol. All rooms are double occupancy. You will need to get yourselves to the airport in Liberia, Costa Rica and back. Shuttles will be arranged to the little town of Nasara from there!

January 13-19, 2027. You DO NOT want to miss this. You will fly into Liberia airport on January 13th and catch one of 2 shuttles to Nosara- one will be at 11am and one is at 4pm. You can also arrange your own ride out if you desire. You’ll need to schedule your flights out of Liberia airport on the 19th AFTER 2pm. Again, you can arrange your own transportation if our group transport won’t work for you!

This trip’s purpose is to bring wonder, relaxation, some adventure and an appreciation for nature and other cultures back into your life. A bonding experience for outdoorsy women that is not to be missed.

All rooms are shared occupancy. No private rooms are available. This is key to the Into the Wild experience.
Into The Wild is now requiring its trip attendees to provide proof of travel insurance purchase for this trip. Generally this costs an extra $100usd, and can save your bacon when traveling and things go wrong. Please email wendy@itwadventure.com if you have any questions about getting travel insurance.
HERE IS A GENERAL ITINERARY OF THE TRIP (GET READY FOR EXCITEMENT!) SUBJECT TO CHANGES/SHUFFLING ACTIVITIES AROUND
Day 1 | January 13, 2027. Arrive in Costa Rica and transfer by private shuttle to Nosara (either at 11am or 4pm) ,a laid-back beach town with an easy pace and excellent food. The ride is about 3 hours long. We’ll settle into our gorgeous hotel near Playa Guiones and get to know one another. There’s time to walk on the beach, unwind from travel, and enjoy a casual welcome dinner. No agenda beyond getting comfortable.
Day 2 | January 14, 2027. Breakfast. Late morning yoga session (optional). Early afternoon, we will head out for a guided, beginner-friendly surf experience focused on confidence and technique. These are so much fun and much less scary than you’d think! Late afternoon is open for beach time, swimming, or exploring town. That evening, we’ll gather for dinner at another of Nosara’s amazing culinary establishments.
Day 3 | January 15, 2027. After breakfast, we’ll head inland with a local guide for a jungle hike that includes wildlife spotting and a waterfall swim. Lunch is included outdoors before returning to Nosara mid-afternoon. The rest of the day is intentionally free for rest, the pool, or the beach. Dinner will yet again be so delicious!
Day 4 | January 16, 2027. This is a choose-your-own-pace day. Optional morning yoga is followed by a fully open schedule with massages provided by Into the Wild. Other than that- you can take an extra surf lesson, spend the day on the sand, or do nothing at all. No group excursions are planned today except breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Day 5 | January 17, 2027. An early breakfast is followed by a private boat excursion along the Pacific coast. Depending on the season, we often see dolphins, and other marine life, with time for snorkeling in protected coves. Lunch is included. We return mid-afternoon, with time to rest before gathering for a group dinner in the evening.
Day 6 | January 18, 2027. The final full day begins with optional yoga and breakfast, followed by free time to revisit favorite spots, swim, shop locally, or relax at the house. We will also go on one more land based nature walk, hopefully to see sloths! In the evening, we come together for a farewell dinner to mark the end of the week.
Day 7 | January 19, 2027. After breakfast, private transfers return the group to Liberia Airport for departures- please do not choose a departing flight before 2pm!
