GREEK ISLANDS ITINERARY
September 19: Arrive in Santorini! Into the Wild will provide you a ride from the airport if you arrive on Santorini on the 19th. Today is all about meeting up before our opening dinner, which is slated to be at 6pm. (A note: the best way to make this trip work is to come into Athens and book a one way flight to Santorini to meet up with the group. Then book another one way flight back to Athens at the end of the trip from Mykonos. This retreat is designed to be strictly islands (the best part of Greece in my opinion!), so Athens will not be a part of it, but the itinerary allows for you to explore Athens on the front or back end if desired.)
September 20: Today we will be exploring Santorini via a hike/walk from Fira to Oia. This is a 6.5 mile, 1,069 moderate walk across little towns and stretches of nature set on cliffs above the sparkling blue sea. I qualify this more as a walk than a hike, since the elevation is spread across 6.5 miles and it’s not difficult. If you can walk in your city at home for 6 miles, you can do this “hike”. We will end up in the adorable towns of Oia and Ammoudi Bay for lunch and swimming and optional cliff jumping. We will return via car/taxi to our hotel and enjoy another beautiful dinner.
September 21: Breakfast, then board a ferry to Milos! This ride takes about 2 hours. Upon arriving, we will check into our hotel and drop baggage, and then set off on some beach adventures, and explore several of the amazing white cliffed, sapphire water beaches around the island. There is cliff diving swimming, and relaxation aplenty.
September 22: Day 2 in Milos involves an awesome catamaran trip to Kleftiko Beach- absolutely stunning. We will also be taken to a few other off the beaten path locations for swimming. Lunch, and then off to explore a few fishing villages that are just stunning. We can eat dinner while watching the sun dip into the ocean.
September 23: Breakfast, then we will take another ferry (this time it’s almost 4 hours) to Naxos! Here in Naxos we will have a foodie adventure after arriving. We will head to Porter for sunset if there is time, then crash into bed after dinner.
September 24: Today we will explore the island of Naxos, driving around and taking in some of the great beaches and sights. Today is aimed to be a fairly relaxing day without overdoing anything- a true greek holiday.
September 25: Naxos exploration again, this time hitting up some of the extraordinarily historical sites around like Demeter Temple and hiking around Byzantine Park. We’ll see how we feel about spending the rest of the day- but I guarantee it will partially involve shoving delicious food into our bellies :) We will then take an evening ferry from Naxos to Mykonos (about 35 mins).
September 26: Our day in Mykonos will be spent seeing the famous windmills, Little Venice, strolling around Mykonos town, eating delicious food, and checking out Panagia Paraportiani. If we have extra time, we can hit up a beach club for some relaxation as the sun sets- it’s our last night together in Greece.
September 27: Breakfast, and then the retreat is officially over. Most people will fly from Mykonos back to Athens for their flight home. You can also take a ferry which will take about 3-5 hours.
Refund policy: Your ticket can be sold but not refunded. You can advertise to sell your ticket yourself, and we will post it on our instagram as well, should you not be able to attend.
All rooms are shared occupancy. No private rooms are available. This is key to the Into the Wild experience.
Women often experience things better by being with other inspiring women. This retreat is only for women and will be filled with warm, open, inviting leaders and attendees, who are all ready and waiting for a creative, immersive, life-changing experience.
